Responsibilities
Process and manage producer and business entity license applications, renewals, and terminations under the guidance of the Licensing Manager.
Maintain accurate licensing records, including NPN status, NPI updates, attestations, and jurisdictional compliance deadlines.
Monitor the licensing inbox daily for regulatory correspondence and take appropriate action on renewals, expirations, updates, and new requirements.
Ensure timely updates across all applicable states when producer or business information changes.
Maintain organized digital and physical licensing, CE, and compliance files.
Track license and CE deadlines, prepare documentation for audits, and assist with compliance reporting.
Communicate with regulatory agencies to resolve routine inquiries and escalate complex issues when needed.
Manage surety bond attachments, including coordination with surety partners, internal notifications, and monthly spreadsheet audits.
Maintain Producer Database Compliance (PDB) reports by monitoring public records and resolving or escalating discrepancies.
Support onboarding of newly licensed employees and coordinate training and continuing education (CE) opportunities.
Proctor pre-licensing and CE courses and manage CE certificates, tracking, and monthly audits.
Provide administrative and project support to the Licensing Manager and compliance team.
Requirements
Working knowledge of producer licensing (Property & Casualty preferred) and surety bond processes.
Familiarity with DOI requirements and electronic licensing platforms such as NIPR, SBS, and Sircon.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain compliant records.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in insurance licensing, agency operations, or surety-related roles preferred.
Active notary certification is a plus.
