About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs for rack systems, including structural components, mounting mechanisms, and integration, especially for in-rack and cross-rack cabling design.
- Use CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet load, stress, and performance requirements.
- Work closely with other engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate rack systems with other components and systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure materials and components meet design specifications.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to incorporate best practices into design processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE) is a plus.
- Proven experience in designing and developing rack systems or similar mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and simulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to rack systems.
- Experienced in rack cabling design is plus.
