About the role
- Actuarial Analyst handling management reporting and financial planning for High-Net-Worth business at Sun Life. Collaborating across functions to support financial initiatives and profitability focuses.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Director, HNW FP&A
- Be accountable for deliverables associated with management reporting and annual financial planning for the High-Net-Worth business
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting, forecasting, business and strategic plans
- Work closely with different functions of the business in various geographies
- Involve in New Business profitability and results from Singapore and Hong Kong
- Help with management reporting expansion and prepare Driver of Earnings and Monthly Business Reviews
- Produce business plans and strategic plans for HNW
- Improve forecasting capabilities to provide timely updates
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special project work as needed.
Requirements
- Experience with IFRS 17 and LICAT
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
- Prior experience with Life insurance products considered a large plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate actuarial concepts to a finance perspective.
- Willingness to work unusual hours from time to time, due to Sun Life offices within other time zones.
