About the role

  • Outside Sales Account Manager responsible for driving sales in industrial fluid conveyance. Join GHX, a recognized distributor of industrial gaskets and hoses, and manage customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
  • Consultatively sell our products and services, offering tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Develop action plans and schedules to prioritize high-value targets.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and quotes for current and prospective clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and sales materials.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and support teams for seamless customer service.
  • Participate in marketing events, trade shows, and seminars to generate leads.
  • Follow up on orders, shipping schedules, and payment collection as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience, ideally within the hose / gasket industry
  • Proven ability to grow accounts and win new business in a competitive market
  • Experience with consultative or value-added selling approaches
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a territory and prioritize effectively
  • Comfort with CRM systems and standard business tools (MS Office, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness for occasional overnight travel
