About the role

  • Paralegal providing legal services to the Agency of Transportation in Vermont. Counsels and represents on various legal matters including federal and state court appearances.

Responsibilities

  • Provide paralegal services to approximately five Assistant Attorneys General
  • Counsel and represent AOT on a wide variety of legal matters
  • Appear in federal and state courts, as well as administrative forums
  • Provide general counseling services to the Travel Information Council, the Traffic Committee, and the Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in criminal justice, law, or related legal field, or paralegal certificate AND two (2) or more years of experience performing paralegal duties.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience performing paralegal duties.
