About the role
- Paralegal joining DWF's Motor Recoveries team in Liverpool. Handling caseloads of motor recoveries claims and assisting with legal documentation and research.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of a caseload of motor recoveries claims from inception to resolution
- Draft legal documents and correspondence
- Liaise with clients, insurers, third parties, and other solicitors
- Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records
- Support senior fee earners with administrative and procedural tasks
Requirements
- Real interest in Motor Insurance cases, preferably with previous experience assisting on a caseload
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Business acumen and understanding of clients' needs
- Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Previous experience of handling/assisting on a Motor Recoveries caseload (desirable)
- Understanding of the wider Motor Recoveries market (trends, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities) (desirable)
- Previous experience of working with Visual Files case management system (desirable)
