About the role

  • Associate Mako Product Specialist providing training and support to medical staff on Mako system. Coordinating customer interactions and performing operation previews, 80% travel involved.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support to physicians (m/f/d) and operating room staff before and during surgeries in the use of the Mako system in North Rhine-Westphalia / northern region.
  • Deliver OR instruction to clinical and technical leadership on the Mako system and the applications installed on it (hip and knee total joint arthroplasty).
  • Explain software workflows to prepare preoperative CT data for Mako compatibility and support the physician (m/f/d) with preoperative planning.
  • Create previews of upcoming surgeries using the Mako system.
  • Plan, organize and conduct training programs and presentations for users (m/f/d) from the OR and radiology departments.
  • Coordinate newly acquired customers (m/f/d) in collaboration with the endoprosthetics sales team.
  • Provide sales support for all product-specific questions at trade shows and congresses.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional experience in a medical environment (e.g., OR technician, medical device application specialist, clinical support, physiotherapy).
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to convey complex concepts quickly and clearly.
  • Strong customer service and client-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and perform well in tense situations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and a high level of reliability.
  • Valid driving license (Class B) and high willingness to travel.
  • Fluent German and very good English skills (C1 level) both written and spoken.
  • Preferred: Degree in medical technology, bioengineering, or natural sciences and prior operating room experience.
