Responsibilities

• Administration, development and optimization of the data warehouse (DWH), in particular ETL processes using PL/SQL or other tools/languages
• Design and maintenance of dimensions, facts and hierarchies
• Development of views and aggregations
• Normalization and denormalization of data models
• Coordination and documentation with business units regarding DWH development
• Validation of data quality and consistency as well as data cleansing
• Creation of test cases and execution of tests in the context of the DWH
• Execution of ad-hoc database queries (source systems and DWH) and provision of data for BI tools
• Special tasks in the data context from the IT Data Management department

Requirements

• A degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, natural sciences, economics, engineering with a focus on data processing is desirable, or equivalent skills and experience
• Preferably demonstrable experience in data modeling and database design
• Excellent SQL skills and experience implementing complex ETL processes (knowledge of PL/SQL is an advantage)
• Demonstrable experience with common BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
• Strong analytical thinking and a systematic, solution-oriented working style
• High degree of independence, attention to detail and quality awareness
• Very good communication skills and fluent command of the German language, both spoken and written.
