Responsibilities
- Administration, development and optimization of the data warehouse (DWH), in particular ETL processes using PL/SQL or other tools/languages
- Design and maintenance of dimensions, facts and hierarchies
- Development of views and aggregations
- Normalization and denormalization of data models
- Coordination and documentation with business units regarding DWH development
- Validation of data quality and consistency as well as data cleansing
- Creation of test cases and execution of tests in the context of the DWH
- Execution of ad-hoc database queries (source systems and DWH) and provision of data for BI tools
- Special tasks in the data context from the IT Data Management department
Requirements
- A degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, natural sciences, economics, engineering with a focus on data processing is desirable, or equivalent skills and experience
- Preferably demonstrable experience in data modeling and database design
- Excellent SQL skills and experience implementing complex ETL processes (knowledge of PL/SQL is an advantage)
- Demonstrable experience with common BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Strong analytical thinking and a systematic, solution-oriented working style
- High degree of independence, attention to detail and quality awareness
- Very good communication skills and fluent command of the German language, both spoken and written.
