Responsibilities
Administration, development and optimization of the data warehouse (DWH), in particular ETL processes using PL/SQL or other tools/languages, as well as the design and maintenance of dimensions, facts and hierarchies
Development of views and aggregations
Normalization and denormalization of data models
Coordination and documentation with business units regarding DWH development
Validation of data quality and consistency, as well as data cleansing
Creation of test cases and execution of tests in the DWH context
Execution of ad-hoc database queries (source systems and DWH) and provisioning of data for BI tools
Special tasks related to data within the IT department
Requirements
A degree is desirable in computer science, information technology, a mathematical, natural science, business or technical field, each with a focus on data processing, or equivalent skills and experience
Preferably demonstrable experience in data modeling and database design
Excellent knowledge of SQL and implementation of complex ETL processes (PL/SQL experience is an advantage)
Demonstrable experience with common BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
Strong analytical thinking and a systematic, solution-oriented working style
High degree of independence, attention to detail and quality awareness
Excellent communication skills and fluency in German, both written and spoken
