About the role

  • Licensed Clinical Therapist providing therapy for substance use disorders at Steadfast Health. Collaborating with an integrated care team in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions for patients with substance use disorders, both in-person and via telehealth, embodying the Steadfast patient-first ethos.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, modeling a non-paternalistic and destigmatizing approach to patient care.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support patient recovery.
  • Collaborate with all clinic-level team members to formulate and execute patient care plans, including Advanced Practice Providers, Medical Assistants, and Peer Recovery Specialists, ensuring integrated treatment approaches.
  • Support patients in crisis intervention situations and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Pioneer innovative ways of improving access and overall care for disadvantaged, marginalized populations.
  • Champion the company’s mission by modeling compassion and fostering trust and strong relationships with patients and communities.
  • Educate patients and families on SUD, co-occurring disorders, and available resources to support sustained recovery and overall health.
  • Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in SUD treatment.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent licensure (LCSW, LMFT, etc.), including clinicians currently obtaining supervised hours toward independent licensure, in Tennessee.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience providing therapy to individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Certification in addiction counseling is a plus.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual care delivery is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SUD diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities.
  • Ability to effectively interact with diverse staff, patients, and community members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible, can-do mentality, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
