About the role
- Engineer II supporting Clean Water and Drinking Water Projects within North Carolina's DEQ. Responsible for engineering reviews, compliance monitoring, and technical assistance to implement water infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for the administration of available funds
- Responsible for implementing wastewater, stormwater or drinking water projects
- Review funding applications, engineering reports, bid documents, engineering drawings, calculations and specifications
- Monitor construction and ensure compliance with State and Federal laws
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
