About the role

  • Data Center Engineer managing installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for EdgeUno's colocation facilities in Queretaro, Mexico. Ensuring continuous improvement in capacity, efficiency, and reliability of data center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the colocation facilities primarily located in the Points of Presence (POPs) in Queretaro, Mexico.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT equipment.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
  • Rack, stack, and cable IT equipment, including servers, network devices, and rack PDUs.
  • Implement and maintain structured cable management best practices.
  • Assist with the deployment of Rack/MOR cabling.
  • Maintain and update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) activities.
  • Conduct physical audits of data center assets.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on servers and IT equipment following documented procedures.

Requirements

  • C1 English level
  • Proven hands-on experience in data center operations.
  • Problem-solving and incident management experience.
  • Knowledge of security and data protection best practices.
  • Understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and facility management, to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Availability for on-call shifts (24/7) and travel when necessary.
