Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance for project conception, design approach and work production
- Perform structural design - produce construction drawings, project manuals, reports, etc.
- Conduct site/facility field assessments and on-site construction inspection
- Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews for work produced
- Direct Structural Team operations, best practices, and work production
- Manage team workload, financials, and performance evaluations
- Assist in preparing service work scope proposals and estimated design fees
- Develop Team marketing strategies and identify target markets and clients
Requirements
- Minimum 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required, Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience related to Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E. and/or S.E.)
- Proven leadership skills
- Experience with various building types and construction materials
- Working knowledge of building codes and design standards
- Proficient in structural design software such as Tekla TSD, STAAD-Pro or other design software
