About the role
- Senior Substation Site Civil Engineer in site/civil department working on electric utility projects. Overseeing design reviews, developing junior staff, and ensuring quality control for design packages.
Responsibilities
- Join our site/civil department for a variety of electric utility projects
- Perform design reviews and develop junior staff members
- Contribute to bids and proposal development
- Oversee quality control on design packages
- Conduct site-visits and occasional travel for meetings
- Comply with quality control and safe work practices
- Maintain compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget expectations
- Coordinate with other design disciplines
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- 4+ years of directly applicable civil-site design experience
- EI/EIT certification preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software
- Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, or various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software tools
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Team player with ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Able to execute projects and handle clients successfully with limited supervision
- Willing to travel, up to 25%
