About the role

  • Transportation Project Manager managing multi-disciplinary teams for MTO projects in the Greater Toronto Area. Seeking candidates with extensive experience in transportation engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Preparing and managing project budgets, work plans, and schedules
  • Communicating and liaising with MTO
  • Consulting with agencies, stakeholders and public
  • Overseeing complex evaluations of planning and design alternatives
  • Overseeing quality control of project deliverables
  • Staff development and mentoring
  • Supporting business development and proposal preparation

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability as a project manager of multi-disciplinary project teams for MTO
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of MTO polices, standards, and specifications
  • Experience with business development and proposal preparation an asset
  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills
  • Experienced in AutoCAD, Microstation and InRoads or Civil 3D software will set you apart from your peer group
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Professional registration with the Professional Engineers Ontario
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the transportation engineering industry specifically related to preliminary and detail design
