About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing delivery of water projects for municipal utilities in Iowa at Stanley Consultants. Requires strong project management and civil engineering expertise to enhance client relations and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water projects for municipal utilities throughout Iowa.
  • Maintain oversight of all project phases, from initial planning and design development through construction administration and project closeout.
  • Effectively manage project scope, budget, and schedule across concurrent assignments.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including detailed instructions, scope of work definitions, level of effort estimates, and accurate man-hour projections.
  • Conduct professional written or oral project reporting for clients and internal leadership.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in either Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with no less than 2 years’ experience working with project teams as project manager.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Iowa is required; or must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • Previous experience having been in responsible charge of designs, including detailed plans and specifications.
  • Must have a basic understanding of the multi-disciplined practices (i.e. process, surveying, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & control) required for the implementation of water/wastewater infrastructure improvements.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
