About the role

• Fullstack React & Ruby on Rails Engineer contributing to workforce management solutions with an agile team. Focus on product feature implementation and REST API maintenance in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in our Ember.js → React migration (React, Tailwind, TanStack Router, Capacitor.js)
• Advance and maintain our Rails-based REST API (Rails, MySQL, Redis, Memcached, RSpec, …)
• Design and implement new product features end to end
• Continuously evaluate, improve, and refactor existing code
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction
• Be part of our agile planning and delivery process

Requirements

• Strong experience with React and modern frontend development (state management, component architecture, hooks, performance optimization, end-to-end testing)
• Practical experience building production-grade React applications
• Solid understanding of modern frontend tooling and ecosystems (TanStack Router, Tailwind, Vite/Webpack, REST APIs, etc.)
• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, including APIs and business logic (Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Redis, RSpec, GitHub, …)
• Ability to design and implement complex features with non-trivial business requirements
• Comfortable working with remote and on-site teams
• Native German speaker and fluent in English
• Enthusiasm for AI technologies and hands-on experience using AI-powered tools to improve development workflows
