About the role
- Business Partner in Controlling managing the waste management segment at Stadtwerke Bielefeld. Responsible for financial management, strategic goal implementation, and process development.
Responsibilities
- Actively shape the financial management of Stadtwerke Bielefeld
- Take responsibility for controlling of the strategic business unit Waste Management
- Create transparency and derive well-founded steering recommendations
- Support managers in implementing strategic objectives
- Manage planning processes within the business unit and ensure integrated, timely planning
- Prepare profit and loss statements, earnings forecasts, variance analyses, and profitability/investment calculations
- Develop measures to optimize results and targets and transparently monitor their effectiveness
- Further develop controlling systems and processes
Requirements
- Completed degree in economics, finance, or engineering—ideally with a focus on controlling
- Several years of professional experience in controlling or business partnering
- Solid knowledge of corporate planning, profit and loss accounting, and investment/feasibility analyses
- Confident use of common controlling and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, BI/Data Analytics solutions)
- Strong affinity for data analysis
- Experience working with management and business units
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Structured, solution-oriented working style
- Enthusiasm for continuously optimizing controlling processes and systems
