About the role

  • Lead Automation Engineer at SS&C developing RPA processes and refactoring legacy code using AI technologies. Collaborating with analysts and engineers to enhance automation designs and support deployed solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA processes using the Blue Prism platform, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Use Claude to analyze existing BluePrism "Code Stages" (.NET/C#) and legacy SQL procedures.
  • You will be responsible for identifying technical debt and refactoring code for 2x performance gains.
  • Develop and integrate Python scripts and modules within Blue Prism processes for complex logic, data manipulation, API interactions, and advanced functionalities not natively supported by Blue Prism.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to understand process requirements (PDDs, SDDs) and translate them into efficient and scalable automation designs.
  • Use AI to generate complex, synthetic test data and identify "unhappy path" scenarios that traditional unit testing often misses, ensuring 100% production readiness.
  • Utilize LLMs to ingest system logs and error reports during L3/L4 escalations to accelerate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and suggest permanent architectural fixes.
  • Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance for deployed RPA solutions, including debugging, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Deep understanding of Multi-VM scalability and memory management to prevent production crashes.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and blockers clearly and proactively to team leads and project managers.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, process analysts, and engineering teams using agile delivery practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ Years Experience: A strong background in C#, .NET, Python, or Java is preferred alongside RPA BluePrism Expertise: 3+ years of hands-on experience (V7), specifically with multi-VM architectures.
  • Practical experience using Claude , GPT-4, or similar models ( Whisper, Qwen ) to assist in technical design, documentation, debugging and data extraction
  • Integrate automations with AI agents, orchestration tools, and enterprise systems
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC/Agile) methodologies.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and writing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with API integration (RESTful, SOAP) concepts.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills , with a proven ability to work effectively as a contributing member of a team.
