About the role
- Senior Project Manager leading environmental and administrative projects for the State of Arizona. Requires strong experience in project management and stakeholder engagement with PMP or CAPM certification.
Responsibilities
- Define scope, requirements, deliverables; build project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Track project costs, maintain fiscal accountability, and manage billing/invoicing.
- Coordinate with elected officials, government agencies, community groups, industry groups, vendors, and the public.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental standards and procurement rules.
- Identify risks, create mitigation plans, and maintain an issues log.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams; ensure quality and timely project completion.
- Assist with RFPs, SOWs, contract administration, and vendor performance monitoring.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and prepare both technical and non-technical reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Public Administration, Business, Engineering, IT, or related field. (Master’s preferred)
- 3–5 years of project management experience
- At least 2 years in public or nonprofit sector preferred
- PMP or CAPM certification required
