About the role

  • Define scope, requirements, deliverables; build project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track project costs, maintain fiscal accountability, and manage billing/invoicing.
  • Coordinate with elected officials, government agencies, community groups, industry groups, vendors, and the public.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental standards and procurement rules.
  • Identify risks, create mitigation plans, and maintain an issues log.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams; ensure quality and timely project completion.
  • Assist with RFPs, SOWs, contract administration, and vendor performance monitoring.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and prepare both technical and non-technical reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Public Administration, Business, Engineering, IT, or related field. (Master’s preferred)
  • 3–5 years of project management experience
  • At least 2 years in public or nonprofit sector preferred
  • PMP or CAPM certification required
