About the role

  • Lead Business Systems Analyst supporting the City of Phoenix Fire Department in business process analysis and systems integration. Requires strong stakeholder engagement and technical skills in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business and technical requirements gathering and documentation
  • Map business processes, system workflows, and legacy system integrations
  • Act as liaison and advocate for Fire Prevention with SHAPE PHX vendors and implementation teams
  • Analyze and optimize business processes and workflows for system integration
  • Support and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
  • Contribute to RFP/RFI/RFQ procurement activities
  • Support multi-year, phased project implementations
  • Deliver executive-level documentation and presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience as a Lead Business Analyst
  • Strong experience with: Business process mapping & workflow analysis, Requirements gathering & acceptance testing, Systems integration and legacy systems, Procurement processes (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  • Advanced proficiency in: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, Project/PWA, Wireframing tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with executive-ready documentation
