Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test electric heating systems and components
Prepare mechanical drawings and wiring schematics for electric heating products
Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing instructions
Ensure designs meet relevant safety and regulatory standards, including UL, CSA, and ETL
Collaborate with R&D on design improvements and new product/process development
Manage and document engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle
Provide technical support to the sales team for customer quote preparation
Partner with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components
Work closely with manufacturing engineers to develop and optimize manufacturing processes
Support cross‑functional teams in resolving design or production challenges
Apply principles of design for manufacturability (DFM)
Support process improvements for new and existing products
Identify opportunities to enhance design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality
Assist in evaluating new technologies, materials, or methods to support engineering advancements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
1–3 years of experience in mechanical engineering
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, CNC punching)
Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM)
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and project‑management skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities with experience in cross‑functional collaboration
