About the role
- Lead Software Engineer designing and implementing scalable data engineering solutions for financial market analytics and index calculations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data engineering solutions to support multi-asset index calculations and analytics
- Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines for processing large volumes of financial market data across various asset classes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance client experience and business outcomes
- Optimize data workflows and infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and accuracy of index data processing
- Support the development of innovative data products and analytics capabilities for SPDJI's expanding multi-asset business
- Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to the evolution of the data platform supporting next-generation index solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related technical roles
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and pipeline development
- Experience with big data technologies and frameworks (such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra)
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
