Senior Financial Accountant overseeing general ledger accounting across multiple EMEA entities for SonicWall. Collaborating with auditors to ensure compliance with US and local GAAP reporting standards.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the General Ledger accounting for assigned EMEA entities;
Responsible for identifying, posting, and reviewing transactions as part of the month-end close;
Responsible for the accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. and local GAAP;
Monitor and support closure of sub-ledgers for assigned entities, i.e., Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable
Perform & review monthly account reconciliations using the Cadency software application
Responsible for the preparation of robust bridge reconciliations between US GAAP and local GAAP.
Managing the associated local tax reporting;
Analytical review of data and answering queries arising from your local reporting director and/or the corporate US office arising out of monthly reviews
The development of strong relationships with key stakeholders globally.
Liaise with external auditors as part of the group or statutory audit process and provide timely and accurate information and data as required for assigned entities:
Assisting with the implementation of Budgetary Controls & Reporting
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and internal controls
Periodic VAT and other direct assistance with tax returns compliance for assigned entities
Continuous promotion of ideas and process improvements as part of a continuous improvement culture;
Involved in ad hoc projects – process improvements, entity incorporations, enhanced reporting etc.
Requirements
ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA qualified
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and European statutory/tax reporting requirements. Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
3+ years Industry PQE
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work within a team and cross functionally but also a self-starter
Flexibility with regard to working hours during quarter-end and year-end.
Previous experience in managing the financial aspects of EMEA and/or APAC entities
Demonstrating prior experience in a similar multinational company
Experience with extracting data using Reporting tools, Qlikview / Power-BI applications.
