About the role

  • Project Manager managing utility scale solar and battery storage projects for SOLV Energy. Responsible for project completion, budget management, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with Director of Foundation Drilling and site Superintendent to outline workplan and assign duties
  • Bid preparation including specifications, drawings, budgets, schedules, submittals, RFI’s, etc.
  • Plans, coordinates, inspects and directs operations for all assigned construction projects
  • Responsible for meeting project and/or facility requirements and adherence to regulations
  • Creates and reviews job orders, change orders and their estimates
  • Acquires all pertinent permits
  • Previews all drawings for delivery to clients or for construction
  • Responsible for project construction budget
  • Ensures projects are inspected for work quality and design requirements
  • Conduct project status meetings; confirm and coordinate milestones and job needs
  • Reviews and authorizes material orders
  • Prepares final job acceptance ensuring final punch list items are resolved
  • Ensure customer needs/issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Enforce a culture of safety on-site

Requirements

  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
  • Field construction management experience (4-8 years, including supervisory skills)
  • Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Drafting and computer skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
  • Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)
