About the role

  • Sales Specialist for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy at Smith+Nephew. Implementing therapy standards and building customer relationships in the outpatient sector.

Responsibilities

  • As a Sales Specialist (m/f/x) for negative pressure wound therapy, you will contribute to implementing vacuum sealing therapy (VST)/negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) as a standard in patient care for high-potential customers in the outpatient sector
  • Your responsibilities include building and maintaining existing customer relationships as well as acquiring new customers
  • You will advise medical specialists (e.g., vascular surgeons, orthopedics, diabetologists), nursing staff and administrative managers on modern wound care solutions with a focus on NPWT
  • Together with customers you will identify new opportunities to prevent wound healing complications and to treat wounds healing by secondary intention
  • You will continuously analyze your sales territory with regard to customer requirements, purchasing decision factors and local market changes
  • Supporting initial NPWT installations is also part of your role to ensure proper and successful use of our products through guidance and training
  • Close collaboration with regional and national sales teams and participation in and support of workshops, trainings and congresses complete your profile

Requirements

  • Medical qualification such as an operating room nurse (OR nurse), registered nurse, a comparable degree, or a commercial qualification combined with relevant professional experience/training
  • Proven and sustained sales success with medical products
  • Basic medical knowledge or experience in functional departments or a leadership role in an MVZ (medical care center), home care or medical practice
  • Strong service- and customer-orientation, excellent communication skills, negotiation ability and a strong drive to achieve results
  • Team player with organizational skills and enthusiasm
  • Willingness to acquire knowledge of health-economic aspects, e.g., EBM reimbursement
  • Confident use of IT systems such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Very good German and good English skills (spoken and written)
  • Valid driving license (Class B) and willingness to travel regionally (approx. 80%)
  • Advantageous: further training/certification in wound management (ICW)
  • Experience in an international corporate environment
  • Understanding of structures and processes in hospitals, MVZs and medical practices
