About the role
- Geotechnical Engineer responsible for design and site investigations in diverse projects. Collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality outcomes within expected timeframes in Queensland.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed design and site investigations on a diverse portfolio of projects
- Take ownership of small projects or key components of larger projects, including planning, resourcing, and execution
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, coordination, and timely delivery
- Contribute to the commercial success of projects and the broader team
- Apply sound project management principles to deliver outcomes on time and to a high standard
- Independently undertake technical tasks across a broad range of geotechnical projects
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and recommendations
- Monitor project scope, risks, and performance across multiple assignments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Geotechnical or Civil preferred)
- 2-3 years’ experience in geotechnical design and site investigations, ideally within an Engineering Consultancy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to apply engineering principles to interpret data and make sound decisions
- Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Confidence working independently and adapting to new challenges
- Solid computer literacy across engineering and reporting tools
