About the role

  • Team Leader managing a team to enhance cybersecurity posture within Fidelity's Directory and Authentication group. Responsible for program deliverables, agile routines, and team leadership in identity management.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be accountable for managing a team to define, prioritize, and deliver on strategic program deliverables.
  • Objective is to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture by mitigating known vulnerabilities, preventing lateral movement, and improving our Identity and Access security posture.
  • Own accountability for the team’s approach, planning, and engagement model to ensure continued alignment and prioritization of the product roadmap
  • Demonstrate strong acumen to translate IAM control enhancements into deliverables/milestones at the sub-initiative and epic level
  • Leverage agile routines to coordinate planning and prioritization, including technology strategy, capability design, objectives and KPIs, ensuring that the development sequence is aligned
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for a delivery team comprised of engineering, quality, and analyst resources, and indirect leadership of supporting teams such as architecture, program management, and other COEs
  • Build a high-performing engineering team, identifying and supporting on-going learning opportunities, and ensuring that the talent composition aligns with strategic business priorities and workforce planning
  • Contribute to proactive research, vendor evaluations, and recommendation of new & existing capabilities that align to product and/or IAM strategies
  • Oversee control & service observability, stability & resiliency, operations, and monitoring aligned to the policies, standards, and technical guidelines of the broader technology organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a technology and leadership role, preferably managing risk utilizing the NIST cybersecurity framework
  • Deep understanding of Identification and Authentication controls, IAM principles such as SAML and OpenID Connect, and Authentication Assurance Levels (AALs)
  • Demonstrated experience in agile team practices, planning ceremonies, and delivery
  • You are a committed people leader, capable of setting strategic direction and coaching others to deliver results and impact to achieve that strategy
  • You have strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization
  • You have senior level experience leading the development of solutions and offerings aligned with and in support of the strategic direction of the business
  • You leverage critical thinking and a product mindset, taking a data-focused approach to objective decision making.
