About the role
- Senior Manager in Asset Management overseeing SOX Compliance programs for Fidelity’s funds. Providing support for risk assessment and program governance while ensuring compliance across multiple products.
Responsibilities
- play a key role in the oversight of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Compliance programs for Fidelity’s alternative and retail funds
- provide support for the SOX 404 risk assessment
- overall SOX program governance
- continuous improvement across multiple products to ensure compliance with the requirements
- think and work across Fidelity, partnering with Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations, and with key business partners in Legal, Compliance, and Risk
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum 6+ years industry or equivalent experience
- 4+ years mutual fund accounting, financial reporting, public accounting or related financial experience
- Experience with controls requirements including SOX 404
- CPA a plus
- Advanced knowledge of the mutual fund business, investment types and alternative investment products
- Strong technical accounting and regulatory knowledge, including SOX 404
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal communication including documentation skills and ability to summarize and present sophisticated findings in clear, organized, concise manner
- Ability to partner with all levels as well as exercise discretion
- Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work optimally across business units
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Word as well as industry research tools
