About the role

• Senior Manager in Asset Management overseeing SOX Compliance programs for Fidelity’s funds. Providing support for risk assessment and program governance while ensuring compliance across multiple products.

Responsibilities

• play a key role in the oversight of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Compliance programs for Fidelity’s alternative and retail funds
• provide support for the SOX 404 risk assessment
• overall SOX program governance
• continuous improvement across multiple products to ensure compliance with the requirements
• think and work across Fidelity, partnering with Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations, and with key business partners in Legal, Compliance, and Risk

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum 6+ years industry or equivalent experience
• 4+ years mutual fund accounting, financial reporting, public accounting or related financial experience
• Experience with controls requirements including SOX 404
• CPA a plus
• Advanced knowledge of the mutual fund business, investment types and alternative investment products
• Strong technical accounting and regulatory knowledge, including SOX 404
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal communication including documentation skills and ability to summarize and present sophisticated findings in clear, organized, concise manner
• Ability to partner with all levels as well as exercise discretion
• Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work optimally across business units
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Word as well as industry research tools
