About the role
- Manager of Investment Accounting operations at Fidelity ensuring data integrity and process efficiency. Collaborating with teams to support investment product evolution and implement new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for investment accounting initiatives.
- Analyze investment data and operational processes to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into clear specifications for technology teams and external vendors (e.g., Clearwater Analytics).
- Develop and maintain business process documentation, data flow diagrams, and reporting requirements.
- Support the implementation of new investment accounting platforms by coordinating testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
- Partner with accounting and technology teams to design and implement scalable, compliant, and efficient investment processes and controls.
- Provide analytical support for investment-related inquiries and strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and coach team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in investment accounting, financial systems implementation, or business analysis.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, investment accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis, process mapping, and requirements gathering.
- Familiarity with alternative investments and partnership structures is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, InvestOne, Workiva, Power BI, Tableau).
