About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing heavy civil construction projects for S&K Technologies and Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. Leading project success through initiation to completion in Polson, Montana.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project schedule for the duration of the project.
  • Coordinate the approval of agreements and manage the execution of those agreements including tracking deliverables, schedule and invoicing.
  • Maintain budget performance and report updates monthly, quarterly, or as requested.
  • Conduct or participate in post award meetings with customers, subcontractors, and other necessary parties.
  • General coordination with customers, project managers, subcontractors, site superintendent, etc.
  • Manage subcontractors where/when needed.
  • Conduct or participate in on-site inspections, startups, final walkthrough, turnovers, etc. as required for the project.
  • Report project status as appropriate at requested intervals.
  • Provide project support, guidance, and training for new and current Project Managers as necessary and appropriate.
  • Responsible for upholding and addressing a Safety-First work environment and OSHA guidelines.
  • Responsible for QA reporting and monitoring as required per project.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for others.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for all facets of the project management cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, and/or degree and equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction.
  • 5+ years in a project leadership role.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • OSHA 30 Certification – Ability to Obtain.
  • Project Management Professional Certification -Preferred.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and project teams.
  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
  • Ability to build relationships with design professionals, general contractors, consultants, vendors, and customers.
  • This position requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors, contractors, or employees of the organization.
  • This position requires the ability to effectively write presentations that will be read by various groups of customers, vendors, contractors, or employees of the organization.
  • Possess problem solving skills and the capability to prioritize daily work schedule in keeping with productivity standards.
  • Must conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to positively always represent the company.
