Senior Platform Architect AWS responsible for AWS architecture and automation for major clients at Skaylink. Leading development of scalable solutions to deliver significant business impact.
Responsibilities
You design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available platform architectures on AWS and define standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
You develop and operate central platform services such as Networking, IAM, Compute, Storage, Containers, and Serverless.
You drive automation forward and develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) as well as self‑service frameworks.
You design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, integrate security, compliance, and quality checks, and implement modern deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling).
You develop automation tools and platform components in Python, build APIs, CLI tools, and reusable libraries, and use AWS SDKs (boto3) efficiently.
You ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform and implement monitoring, observability, as well as automated incident and recovery processes.
Requirements
You bring several years of experience in the architecture, development, and optimization of AWS platforms.
You have solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps practices.
You are confident in building and operating platform services as well as CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
You have strong programming skills in Python and experience with AWS SDKs, APIs, and automation frameworks.
You see monitoring, observability, and cloud operations as integral components of a stable platform.
Ideally, you have experience with container technologies, serverless architectures, and relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional).
Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
