About the role
- Technical Engineering Manager at Sizewell C overseeing end-to-end design in nuclear infrastructure. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure high-quality technical delivery and project success.
Responsibilities
- Be part of the Engineering and Technical function within the Civil Works Programme.
- Responsible for the technical aspects of the end-to-end design and detailing process in specific scope area.
- Focusing on topics that are transverse across Main Civils Works - Nuclear Island (NI) and Conventional Island & Balance of Plant (CIBOP), Ancillary Works and Earthworks and Enabling Works.
- Take the lead in bringing together inputs from Sizewell C Client and the Responsible Designer.
- Drive technical change control, oversee the technical assurance process to guarantee high-quality delivery.
- Act as a central connector across key technical stakeholders and work closely with Technical Engineering Managers across interfacing scopes.
Requirements
- Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Must be Chartered Engineer (MICE or MIStructE)
- Experience in technical leadership with a technically orientated delivery team
- Experience of working with technical direction of suppliers
- Experience of working on multi-discipline projects
- Proven experience effectively managing stakeholders, both internal and external, both technically and commercially.
- Experience in the nuclear sector, particularly in the design and implementation of safety-related structures, systems and components (Desirable)
