About the role
- Civil Technical Engineering Manager overseeing technical requirements and design delivery for Sizewell C nuclear megaproject. Ensuring compliance and coordination across ancillary civil works.
Responsibilities
- Join the Sizewell C megaproject, contributing to a major low-carbon nuclear new build
- Oversee technical requirements, design delivery, assurance, and coordination of ancillary civil works across the programme lifecycle
- Define and validate technical requirements
- Lead technical assurance
- Manage design changes
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces
- Ensure compliance with engineering processes
- Support delivery of fully coordinated civil designs across the Ancillary Works scope
Requirements
- Strong experience across concept to construction stage for heavy civils, ground engineering, drainage, utilities, earthworks, structures, and/or external works
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; Chartered or working towards
- Skilled in design integration and managing multi-disciplinary technical delivery
- Knowledge of UK design standards and RIBA Plan of Work
- Experience in high-safety or regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder communication
- Familiarity with EPR nuclear design and NEC contracts (desirable)
- Experience with engineering management systems and documentation workflows (desirable)
- Experience in major/complex projects, ideally nuclear (e.g., HPC) (desirable)
