About the role
- Senior Planning Engineer at Jackson Civil Engineering involved in planning and construction methodologies for civil engineering projects. Seeking candidates with HNC civil engineering qualification and site experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and assistance on planning, methods of construction, solutions to engineering problems and programme creation
- Ensure that while planning each tender, all possible alternative methods and strategies have been considered and discussed with the tender team
- Assist with providing supporting documents for each tender submission as required
- Jointly reviewing sub-contracted design work with respect to buildability and tender compliance, seeking advice from the Technical Manager when necessary
- Ensure that any programmes and supporting documents produced comply with all schemes’ specific constraints
- Keep up to date with industry developments, innovations, and legislation
Requirements
- Minimum of an HNC civil engineering qualification
- Relevant civil engineering site experience
- Comfortable working in a team
- Good communication skills
- Conversant with programming software, such as Asta or Microsoft Project (not essential)
