About the role

  • State Distributor Manager responsible for managing QLD distributor partners and key accounts. Driving sales growth and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall performance of QLD distributor partners to achieve agreed sales, margin and distribution targets
  • Develop and execute state plans aligned to national Foodservice strategy across both distributor and key account channels
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of major state-based key accounts, driving profitable sales, product ranging and category expansion
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with distributor leaders, sales teams and key customer stakeholders
  • Negotiate commitments, trade spend, promotional activity and pricing to support sustainable growth
  • Conduct strategic customer and distributor reviews, product presentations and tailored business plans
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to inform commercial recommendations and identify new opportunities
  • Manage forecasting, financial performance, promotional planning and reporting accuracy
  • Maintain accurate CRM updates, call cycles, administrative requirements and compliance with company standards
  • Balance office-based planning with regular field engagement across metropolitan and regional Queensland to support consistent in market execution
  • Collaborate closely with national account, marketing, finance, demand planning and broader Foodservice teams

Requirements

  • Significant commercial experience within Foodservice, FMCG or a related sales environment, with a strong background in field based account management
  • Proven experience managing both distributor partnerships and key accounts, including negotiation of ranging, pricing, promotions and trade spend
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with confidence working with forecasting, budgets and sales performance metrics
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships and communicate with influence across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Highly organised, with the capability to balance commercial planning and regular in field activity in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive and solutions focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Skilled in presenting to customers, conducting reviews and driving category and product opportunities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales reporting systems
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or a related discipline (preferred)
