- Payroll & Benefits Specialist responsible for payroll activities for US and Canadian employees. Ensure accurate distribution of compensation and manage key systems while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of regular payroll activities for US and Canadian employees
- Benefits Administration & Employee Expense Reimbursement
- Provide excellent customer service answering any employee-related questions and requests
- Maintain accurate records payroll & benefits and follow up with discrepancies
- Reconcile all payroll filings and prepare accurate journal entries
- Manage Ceridian Dayforce related activities, making changes and updates as required
- Prepare year-end T-4’s for distribution to employees and Receiver General
- Actively participate in various benefits, systems, and payroll-related projects
- Journal Entries and Payroll Related Accruals
- Payroll Reporting
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience working in a similar capacity
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office
- You have experience with both Canadian and US payroll
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is a bonus
