Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all sales tax reporting and compliance requirements.
Process and submit all related tax payments in a timely manner.
Review payment requests prepared by others for accuracy and completeness.
Organize, maintain, and safeguard records to support future audits and regulatory inquiries.
Document procedures and contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Provide audit support, including reconciliations and gathering requested documentation.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or related experience
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to pivot between tasks seamlessly
Time management to ensure proper filing with strict deadlines.
Knowledge of research tools for state requirements
Ability to learn and utilize new computer programs associated with the job including: SAP Vertex VITR
