Responsibilities
Leads and delivers R&D projects in collaboration with stakeholders, including Product Managers and Product Owners, with full accountability for results.
Executes projects to meet targets for cost, schedule, quality, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
Manages risks, opportunities, budgets, resources, and project agreements.
Aligns project objectives with R&D strategy, product portfolio, and technology roadmap to ensure business success.
Drives effective stakeholder management, timely decision-making, and issue escalation when needed.
Ensures compliance with architecture, design, quality, safety, security, regulatory, and intellectual property standards.
Promotes continuous improvement through reuse, collaboration, knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and best practices.
Supports cross-functional collaboration within the team and beyond.
Ensures transparency on work items and progress in team.
Monitor and report on project progress, budget/spend, and critical milestones. Provide clear, concise communication to leadership—up to Director and VP levels—including program reviews, risk escalations, and launch readiness updates.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
Proven experience managing technology or engineering projects, preferably within a medical device or other regulated environment.
Proficiency with standard business and productivity tools (MS Office suite).
Strong understanding of engineering workflows, design controls, and structured development processes.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to lead without authority.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience in design engineering, service tooling, or hardware/software product development is highly beneficial.
