About the role
- Design Services Manager role at Severn Trent, overseeing project delivery and managing design consultant services. Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve effective design solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a series of small to medium sized projects
- Manage the delivery of design consultant services with support from the team
- Coordinate, write and manage multiple Service Orders for professional design services
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders
- Guide the design process and understand inputs required for development
- Identify, assess, and manage risks throughout the project phases
- Review design consultant deliverables for technical specifications and quality
- Promote safety in design practices from inception through to demolition phases
- Support progression of projects through Severn Trent’s gated process
Requirements
- Degree qualified (desirable)
- Professional commitment as a member of one of the engineering Institutions or actively working towards incorporated or chartered status
- Civil discipline required
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills
- A full UK driving licence required
- Ability to anticipate challenges and respond to change in a rapidly evolving environment
