Senior Economy Designer at Homa, a mobile game developer, shaping the RPG portfolio's economy systems and monetization strategies. Collaborate with teams to drive player engagement and financial success.
Responsibilities
Design scalable RPG economy systems: build a core economic model that becomes a replicable strategic asset across titles, not a one-off rebuild per game.
Own the economic impact of every product feature: assess KPI implications before launch, produce risk-adjusted roadmaps, and ensure the team always knows what’s at stake.
Define pricing, sink/source balancing, and offer targeting strategies: create the full monetization architecture that drives IAP conversion and long-term player engagement.
Build economy simulations and data models: own all quantitative economy work end-to-end, from raw data analysis to live balancing decisions.
Partner directly with studios and publishing teams: translate complex economy frameworks into clear, actionable guidance that small teams can implement without friction.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in free-to-play RPG economy design, and the humility, curiosity, ambition, and drive to make an impact fast.
Direct RPG F2P economy ownership: you’ve designed and driven the core economy of a free-to-play RPG title end-to-end, not just contributed to sub-loops.
Strong data analysis skills: SQL is a must; you read game data fluently and translate it into clear economic decisions.
Hands-on execution mindset: you go into the details, you implement, and you iterate; you don’t hand over a framework and walk away.
Structured thinking and clear documentation: your work is organized, your outputs are legible, and studios can act on what you produce.
Strong communication skills: written and verbal; you can align distributed studio teams remotely without losing clarity or momentum.
Bonus points if you have: Python or R experience for economic modeling and simulation, Basic Unity knowledge for direct studio collaboration, Experience on titles with significant IAP in the top 200 grossing RPG charts, An AI-native workflow: you actively use AI to build models, speed up analysis, and multiply your output.
