About the role
- Claims Representative investigating and settling auto insurance claims at Sentry. Delivering quality claim service while protecting the assets of Sentry under a Hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Drive efficient PIP claim resolutions by investigating, evaluating, and settling auto insurance claims for medical coverage and compliance with state laws.
- Verifying that coverage exists and Investigating and gathering information about injuries that happen during an auto accident.
- Determining qualification for benefits.
- Documenting all decisions, correspondences, reports and discussions.
- Assisting with litigation support including depositions and interrogatories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 1 or more years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of insurance policies and coverage, claim payment procedures, and familiarity with medical terminology.
- Able to make sound decisions while using good judgment in evaluating claims.
- Able to review and interpret complex and detailed documents such as contracts, medical reports and insurance regulations.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Personal computer and math skill beneficial.
- Ability to pass the required coursework applicable to the job duties.
