About the role

  • Claims Specialist I handling auto and general liability claims at AIG. Investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims with a focus on customer service and timely resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate and resolve Commercial General Liability and Auto Liability claims
  • Responsible for the end-to-end management of claims, from initial investigation to final settlement
  • Conduct thorough investigations into claim facts
  • Determine liability for both Auto and General Liability scenarios
  • Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves
  • Negotiate fair settlements within designated authority levels
  • Ensure claims are handled in strict accordance with state regulations and company best practices

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of active claims handling experience
  • Proven track record in managing both Auto and General Liability claims
  • Must hold a valid Adjuster’s License in all jurisdictions or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to convey complex information to claimants and stakeholders with empathy and clarity.
