About the role
- Join SCIO Automation as an Automation Software Engineer to develop and optimize Beckhoff TwinCAT systems. Collaborate on innovative solutions for Industry 4.0 processes based in Duisburg, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Hardware design and configuration for Beckhoff systems
- Software design and programming of control systems for industrial machines using TwinCAT 3 / CODESYS
- Visualization using TwinCAT HMI, including web-based HMI
- Programming and commissioning of new systems; optimization and expansion of existing production machines; retrofit and modernization of legacy equipment
- Independently carrying out commissioning of automation cells at customer sites
- Point of contact and coordinator for our customers during commissioning
- Technical documentation and mentoring for newcomers to Beckhoff TwinCAT 3
Requirements
- A degree in electrical engineering or a technician qualification; alternatively comparable experience in PLC programming
- Good knowledge of TwinCAT 3 and the Beckhoff product portfolio
- Knowledge of TwinCAT 2 desirable (optional)
- Initial experience in drive technology and robotics is an advantage
- Willingness and ability to perform nationwide commissioning of individual modules or complete production lines
