About the role
- Senior Procurement Buyer responsible for project purchasing in machinery, electrical engineering, and construction. Leading procurement processes with comprehensive responsibility and technical understanding.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for project procurement with a focus on mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and construction
- You are fully and independently responsible for carrying out the procurement process — from coordinating with project management on the scope of services, through supplier selection and evaluation, managing tenders and conducting award negotiations, preparing award recommendations, and providing commercial support for the project, to assisting with defect claims and monitoring warranty periods
- Careful work in contract management is expected
Requirements
- A degree in business administration or a comparable field with a focus on purchasing or supply chain, or equivalent professional expertise acquired by other means
- Convincing and communicative personality with a high degree of initiative, team spirit and service orientation
- Several years of relevant professional experience and in-depth knowledge of project procurement (nice to have)
- Deep technical understanding of technical interrelationships
- Extensive knowledge of SAP HCM or, ideally, S/4HANA
- Thorough knowledge of contract law and contract drafting
- Experience in project management
