About the role

  • Machinenbauingenieur delivering engineering services for hydropower sector. Planning and evaluating renewable energy projects in a team-oriented environment with a focus on quality and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • You provide engineering services for our hydropower plants and steel hydraulic structures
  • With your expertise you plan, assess and successfully implement refurbishment and modernization measures
  • You support the design and evaluation of hydraulic turbomachinery
  • Sustainability drives you: you optimize workflows and core working procedures
  • You contribute to special projects within interdisciplinary teams
  • You actively participate in quality management and thus sustainably ensure work quality

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable qualifications acquired otherwise
  • Professional experience in managing technical projects with a focus on quality, schedules and budget
  • Solid knowledge in the design and assessment of hydraulic turbomachinery
  • Experience in plant engineering, preferably industrial valves, pressure vessels, turbomachinery or similar
  • Enjoy working with people, very good organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility
  • High level of initiative and commitment as well as an independent and structured working style
  • Driver’s license (Class B)
  • Nice-to-have: experience with CAD and ERP systems
  • Experience in the hydropower sector, particularly pumped-storage and run-of-river power plants
  • Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety and applicable safety regulations
