About the role

  • Software Engineer responsible for coordinating the integration of software for electrified bus systems. Work at the interface of core vehicle systems and external bodybuilder solutions ensuring flexibility and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the integration of embedded and application-level software for electrified bus systems (e.g., battery, charging, powertrain, and energy management)
  • Ensure robust integration of bodybuilder-installed functions such as HVAC, accessibility solutions and warning systems
  • Act as a technical interface for bodybuilders, supporting their integration efforts with Scania’s electrical and software platforms
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in collaboration frameworks, guidelines, and digital integration solutions

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python; knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and AUTOSAR is valuable
  • Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, ISO 15118)
  • Solid background in embedded or automotive software development
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration, ideally with external partners
  • Bus driver license
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
