About the role

• Intermediate Software Engineer focused on building scalable systems using .NET and React. Collaborating with teams to drive innovative AI-empowered software development at ScalePad.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable backend services using .NET
• Develop and enhance modern, responsive front-end applications using React
• Contribute to and maintain cloud-native infrastructure and services in AWS
• Take end-to-end ownership of features—from technical design through deployment and post-release optimization
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering team members to deliver customer-driven outcomes
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and innovation
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with best practices
• Participate in code reviews and provide thoughtful feedback to peers
• Proactively identify and address technical debt and system performance improvements
• Continuously explore new technologies and patterns, especially in AI-empowered development workflows
• Support a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience building backend systems using .NET (C#)
• Experience developing front-end applications using React
• Hands-on experience working with AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, or similar services)
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade SaaS applications
• Demonstrated ownership of features or systems in previous roles
• Strong understanding of software design principles, testing practices, and version control
• Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teams
• Experience using AI-powered development tools and an enthusiasm for integrating AI into your workflow
• Based in the Lower Mainland and able to work in-office in downtown Vancouver several days per week
• Eligible to work in Canada.
