About the role

  • Fundraising Manager focusing on Major Donors & Philanthropy at Save the Children. Engaging with high-net-worth individuals to implement growth strategies for fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Co-design and implement our ambitious fundraising strategy (target: €10 million by 2030)
  • Acquire, steward and develop major donors, philanthropic contacts and multipliers
  • Develop and implement measures for donor acquisition, retention, reactivation and upgrading
  • Prepare tailored donation proposals, informational materials and impact reporting
  • Conduct target-group analyses and design relevant events
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure audience-oriented communication

Requirements

  • University degree or 4–5 years of relevant professional experience working with comparable target groups; career changers with the right personality and quick learning ability are also welcome (e.g. relationship management or sales)
  • Enthusiasm for ambitious growth targets and the ability to meet them with courage, confidence and a solution-oriented approach
  • Strong appreciation for the individuality of each contact, genuine curiosity about people, and a preference for personal communication
  • Creativity, experience and talent for expanding and developing our major-donor network
  • Strong service orientation, persuasive skills and a confident, reliable, professional demeanour
  • Excellent team player with strong organisational skills
  • Identification with Save the Children’s vision, mission and goals
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany for in-person meetings and engagements
  • Excellent spoken and written German and English
