About the role
- System Administrator/Network Specialist developing and maintaining network infrastructure at Savannah River Mission Completion. Involves configuration management, release engineering, and network testing.
Responsibilities
- Develops, designs, and maintains the computer network infrastructure supporting the distributed control system (DCS)
- Performs moderately complex configuration management and release engineering tasks
- Designs and plans standard ICS network systems
- Conducts testing of network systems
- Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
- Maintains software configuration management tools
- Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
- Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects
Requirements
- High school diploma, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree with practical and relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
- Previous experience with Liquid Waste facilities, systems, and requirements preferred
- Familiarity or previous experience maintaining secured ICS systems under DOE/NNSA requirements preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
