About the role

  • System Administrator/Network Specialist developing and maintaining network infrastructure at Savannah River Mission Completion. Involves configuration management, release engineering, and network testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, designs, and maintains the computer network infrastructure supporting the distributed control system (DCS)
  • Performs moderately complex configuration management and release engineering tasks
  • Designs and plans standard ICS network systems
  • Conducts testing of network systems
  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture
  • Maintains software configuration management tools
  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
  • Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree with practical and relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • Previous experience with Liquid Waste facilities, systems, and requirements preferred
  • Familiarity or previous experience maintaining secured ICS systems under DOE/NNSA requirements preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
